Natural resources are the basis of our living. We need to use them wisely to satisfy our needs without compromising the development options of future generations. Drawing on my experience from field level implementation to international policy issues, my professional aspiration is to build capacities, institutions, and policies that work for people and sustainable livelihoods while maintaining the integrity of our natural environment. My primary task within AGEG is to coordinate high quality services towards the achievement of sustainable development goals. Investment in human resources, networking and mutual learning, and addressing the potentials and needs of beneficiaries are considered the key ingredients for successful projects. To this end, I am working with the AGEG team and a wide range of partners and international experts of various backgrounds, cultures, and disciplines in acquisition, planning, implementation, backstopping, monitoring and evaluation of projects that satisfy our clients and partners and hence form the basis for our economic success. My background as paediatrician and the experience with projects and programs in different settings has created a strong desire to contribute to improved health systems in developing countries. My goal is to achieve an impact on the health status of concerned populations. The way consists in sound program planning, intense liaising with clients, and quality project implementation to the satisfaction of clients and partners. Building capacity within AGEG and widening the network with international consultants will contribute to continuous quality improvement and development of the AGEG Health portfolio. 

My current position allows me to continue my professional practice as Management Consultant, while leading a team of experienced economic development specialists. My goal is to maximize impact of sustainable economic development activities in order to provide a business environment that works for the poor. Millions of people need better employment and business opportunities to find a way out of poverty. Besides providing technical backstopping and quality assurance of projects, my work consists in writing project proposals and developing innovative solutions. Together, these activities build up AGEG's economic development portfolio. Furthermore, I use my position as head of department to promote capacity for policy analysis and implementation within AGEG, our clients, professional networks, and policy makers involved in economic growth and development.

I joined AGEG Consultants eG in 2005. Since then, I have introduced and established sustainable tourism as a field of cooperation within the company and finally assumed the responsibility for the AGEG department for sustainable tourism. My major goal is to develop tourism projects in a sustainable manner and to assure high quality standards in their implementation. Through our projects, we actively want to contribute to poverty alleviation by generating revenues for local and regional economies and create perspectives for local communities. Therefore, one of my major tasks is to continuously build up a network of strong and experienced partner companies and international tourism specialists with market leadership and state of the art expertise in environmentally and socially responsible tourism development.
