Along with my colleague Harald
Speidel, I was appointed as Managing Director by AGEG’s supervisory board in
May 2009. By profession I am International Economist. I started my professional
career in 1983 with the German Volunteer Service in Niger and then led a
EU-funded rural development project in Jamaica for 8 eight years before working
for a US-based market research company in the IT industry. From 2002 to 2004, I
worked for the GTZ in Morocco
as a consultant for the SME Sector support project. I joined AGEG in 2005 as an
associate expert carrying out consulting
missions as well as holding seminars for InWent. From 2006 until my appointment
as AGEG MD, I was project manager at GITEC Consult GmbH (Department of
Agriculture and Rural Development). Apart from corporate and personnel
management I will focus developing and
improving the consulting portfolio as well as working intensively with members
and associates to further unlock the potential of the cooperative.

In May
2009, I was appointed by AGEGs´ supervisory board as one of two Managing
Directors. My professional experience is based on long and short term missions
mainly in Latin America and Eastern Europe. My thematic focus covers
microfinance, financial institutions, co-operatives and co-operative banking
systems. Before dedicating myself to project consultancy abroad, I worked for a
local cooperative bank in Germany in the area private Banking and marketing and
afterwards for the regional cooperative Federation in Karlsruhe, Germany. My
tasks at AGEG Consultants include the corporate and personnel management and the
responsibility for the office organisation, administration and the financial
management as well as the support for AGEG Consultants´ co-operative
structure.
