Background :

This cooperation programme of GTZ and KfW is being implemented by the consortium AGEG-ECO. It aims at increasing the capacity of small-scale farmers and their organisations in the use of new agro-forest technologies. This will increase the productivity of the soil and thus the income of the farmes, improve their resilience and adaptation skills to climate change and safeguard the better protection of natural resources. Services include:

Services Rendered :

• Evaluation and improvement of the organisational structures involved in the implementation (technical assistance, financing institutions, farmers' committees)
• Capacity building of the Project Implementation Unit
• Technical assistance in agriculture 
• Studies and training in conservation agriculture, agroforestry and sustainable forest management. - Personnel contract management for 78 engineers and technicians
• Training and elaboration of technical and awareness raising manuals
• Monitoring and control of quality of technical assistance and project implementation
